NCT ID NCT07404280
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a diet plan based on traditional Moroccan foods, guided by artificial intelligence and continuous glucose monitors, can help adults with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar. Fifty participants will wear a glucose monitor, keep food diaries, and receive personalized meal advice. Researchers will track changes in blood sugar levels, weight, and waist size over six months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Moroccan-adapted nutritional plan with continuous glucose monitoring feedback
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a culturally tailored diet plan helps people with type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar levels.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 50 participants and no control group, so results may not apply broadly. Diet adherence can vary, and the intervention may not lead to lasting improvements.
