NCT ID NCT06762210
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a dental health evaluation using AI can help people stop smoking. 300 adult smokers who want to quit will get an AI analysis of their mouth and teeth. The main goal is to see if more people have quit smoking after 6 months, confirmed by a breath test.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
AI Molar Mind (a dental health assessment tool using AI)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new, non-drug way to help people quit smoking by using dental check-ups as motivation.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with no blinding, so results may be influenced by participants' expectations. The intervention is just an assessment, not a treatment, so its impact may be limited.
