AI listens to memories to ease dementia distress
NCT ID NCT04769466
Summary
This study tested a new online tool designed to make it easier for caregivers to help people with dementia share their life stories. The tool uses speech-to-text and artificial intelligence to create personal storybooks from conversations. Researchers wanted to see if using these life stories could improve residents' mood and quality of life, reduce agitation, and help staff provide better, more personalized care.
