Summary
This large study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) can make mammography screening better. Over 100,000 women were randomly assigned to have their mammograms read with AI assistance or by the usual two radiologists. The goal was to see if AI could catch more cancers, reduce false alarms, and lighten radiologists' workload. Results will show if AI can safely replace one of the two human readers.
