AI heart scan could replace routine echo tests for AF patients
NCT ID NCT07486739
Summary
This study aims to see if using artificial intelligence to analyze simple ECG heart tracings can effectively screen for heart structure and function problems in people with atrial fibrillation (AF). Researchers will compare this AI-ECG approach to the current standard of routine echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) tests in about 1,700 participants. The goal is to determine if the AI method is just as safe and effective, which could make screening faster, more convenient, and more accessible.
