AI heart scan could spot hidden heart attack danger

NCT ID NCT06029777

Summary

This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) could analyze standard heart CT scans to better predict which patients with coronary artery disease are at high risk for future heart attacks or other major heart problems. Researchers applied AI to scan images from over 2,000 patients to find hidden patterns that might indicate unstable plaque. The goal is to create a risk score that helps doctors decide which patients need more aggressive treatment to prevent serious events.
