AI vs. stroke: new tool aims to predict heart crises before they strike

NCT ID NCT07441759

Summary

This study aims to test a new AI tool designed to better predict the risk of strokes and other major heart events in older adults who are at high risk for a common heart rhythm problem called atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers will use health records from 1,000 participants to see if the AI model can spot high-risk individuals earlier than current methods. The goal is to help doctors start preventive treatments sooner to avoid strokes and improve long-term health.
