NCT ID NCT07280026
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether an AI-powered augmented reality system can improve hand hygiene training better than standard videos and feedback. About 1000 participants, including healthcare workers and students, will be randomly assigned to either the AI system or standard training. The goal is to see if the AI system leads to cleaner hands and better hygiene knowledge.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Edge AI-based augmented reality hand hygiene training system
What this could lead to
If effective, this system could provide a scalable, personalized way to train hand hygiene, potentially reducing infections in hospitals and schools.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial testing training effectiveness, not a direct treatment. The AI system may not improve hygiene more than standard methods, and results may not apply to all settings.
