AI maps may help surgeons outsmart deadly brain tumors
NCT ID NCT05735171
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help surgeons remove more of a glioblastoma brain tumor safely. The AI creates maps showing where the tumor is likely to come back, guiding the surgeon to remove extra tissue beyond the main tumor. Twenty patients with tumors in non-critical brain areas took part. The goal was to see if this approach is feasible and might improve survival.
