First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a large language model (like GPT-4) could help doctors follow official treatment guidelines for COPD patients at hospital discharge. 78 patients were randomly assigned to either receive an AI-generated treatment recommendation or standard care. The goal was to see if the AI could improve how often patients get guideline-recommended care.
