Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and game-like features can help people with type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar. The app provided personalized health coaching and was designed to work even in rural areas with limited phone service. 88 adults with type 2 diabetes took part to see if the approach was practical and effective over 6 months.
