AI vs. doctors: the battle to spot prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT06575361

Summary

This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system could help doctors diagnose prostate cancer more accurately from MRI scans. It involved 365 men who were already scheduled for a prostate biopsy. Researchers compared how well the AI system and experienced radiologists could spot suspicious areas on scans that turned out to be cancer.
