AI vs. doctors: the race to stop Diabetes-Related blindness
NCT ID NCT07151001
Summary
This study is testing a new AI software tool designed to spot early signs of diabetic retinopathy, a serious eye disease that can lead to blindness. The software analyzes simple retinal photos taken in a doctor's office to see if it can identify the disease as accurately as expert eye doctors. The goal is to make screening faster, more accessible, and less expensive, helping catch the condition early when it's most treatable.
