AI doctor for bones: new study aims to spot arthritis and weak bones earlier
NCT ID NCT07474571
Summary
This study is testing a new artificial intelligence (AI) system designed to help doctors diagnose and determine the severity of two common age-related conditions: osteoporosis (weak bones) and osteoarthritis (joint wear-and-tear). The AI will analyze X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs from 2,000 participants to see if it can automatically spot early signs of these diseases as accurately as human experts. The goal is to create a more consistent and efficient tool that could lead to earlier treatment and better management of bone and joint health.
