AI reads your face to spot heart disease risk

NCT ID NCT07277686

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program that analyzes facial images can help screen for coronary artery disease (CAD) in people at high risk (those with diabetes, high blood pressure, or over age 65). About 1,392 participants will have their photo taken and then undergo a heart CT scan to see if the AI correctly identifies who has CAD. The goal is to see if this simple, non-invasive method can catch heart disease earlier than current routine care.
