Smartphone heart test could warn families of hidden risk

NCT ID NCT06609174

Summary

This study tested whether a mobile AI-powered heart monitor could help screen close relatives of people with a heart muscle condition called dilated cardiomyopathy. Researchers gave 119 family members a portable ECG device that connects to a smartphone and uses artificial intelligence to check for early signs of heart weakness. The goal was to see if this convenient home screening could encourage more family members to get checked and help detect problems earlier.
