Mayo clinic tests AI heart monitor to catch silent valve disease
NCT ID NCT06580158
Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors find two common heart problems—aortic stenosis and diastolic dysfunction—more easily. Researchers will use the AI to analyze routine heart tests (ECGs) from 2,000 adults aged 60 and older. If the AI flags a potential problem, the participant will get a quick follow-up ultrasound to check if the AI's finding was correct.
