AI-Powered ECG reading could revolutionize heart failure detection in primary care

NCT ID NCT07113223

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system, called Willem™, can help doctors detect heart failure more accurately by analyzing electrocardiograms (ECGs). About 1,968 adults with suspected heart failure or at high risk will be randomly assigned to have their ECGs read with AI assistance or by standard methods. The goal is to see if AI improves diagnosis and leads to better care.
