AI reads heart scans to spot hidden danger
NCT ID NCT06029777
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at CT scans from 2190 people with coronary artery disease to see if artificial intelligence (AI) could help predict who is at higher risk for heart attacks or other serious heart problems. The researchers used AI to measure subtle features around the heart's arteries that are hard for doctors to see. The goal was to create a risk score that helps doctors decide which patients need stronger treatment to prevent future heart events.
