AI could catch deadly wasting syndrome early in pancreatic cancer patients

Summary

This study looks at whether artificial intelligence can help detect cachexia—a severe loss of weight and muscle—early in people with pancreatic cancer. Researchers will also see if diet and exercise programs are practical and helpful for these patients. About 120 adults with pancreatic cancer will take part, using wearable devices and completing surveys over 9 months.
