Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called Fudan Tinnitus Doctor, which uses an AI chatbot to deliver cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for tinnitus. 172 adults with chronic tinnitus used the app daily for 30 days. The goal was to see if the AI-guided conversations could reduce tinnitus severity, improve sleep, and ease mood symptoms compared to reading educational materials.
