Your phone could be your counselor: AI chatbot tested to fight liver disease
NCT ID NCT07450144
Summary
This is a small pilot study to see if a chatbot powered by artificial intelligence (AI) is a practical and acceptable tool for helping people with a specific type of fatty liver disease (MetALD) drink less alcohol. The study will recruit 50 adults in Hong Kong who have the disease and want to cut back on drinking. Researchers will check if people are willing to use the chatbot and if it helps them reduce their weekly alcohol consumption over 6 months.
