Summary
This study tested whether using two tools together helps doctors find more pre-cancerous growths (adenomas) during a colonoscopy. The tools are an artificial intelligence (AI) system that highlights suspicious areas and a small cap that helps flatten the colon wall for a better view. Researchers compared using the AI alone, the cap alone, and both together in 481 people undergoing routine colonoscopy screening.
