Scientists use AI to listen to Parkinson's brain during surgery

NCT ID NCT04277689

Summary

This study aims to learn more about how the brain works during speech and movement in people with Parkinson's disease who are undergoing deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. Researchers will record brain activity during the procedure to gather data. The goal is to use this information to help develop future 'smart' DBS systems that could adjust treatment automatically based on a patient's needs.
