Summary
This study tested an artificial intelligence (AI) system that helps doctors see whether colon growths (polyps) are cancerous or harmless during a colonoscopy. The AI works with a special microscope that magnifies the lining of the colon. The goal is to improve accuracy and reduce the need for removing polyps that are not dangerous. The study involved 570 patients and was completed at multiple hospitals.
