Anti-Aging shot? study tests if weight loss meds turn back biological clock

NCT ID NCT07444073

First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study will check if common weight loss medications (semaglutide or tirzepatide), combined with diet and exercise coaching, can slow or reverse biological aging in adults aged 40 to 89 who are overweight or obese. Researchers will use a special blood test called the LinAge2 clock to measure changes in biological age over 6 months. The study does not test a new treatment, but rather measures the effects of an existing weight management program.
