Summary
This phase 3 trial tests whether adding afuresertib (a targeted drug) to fulvestrant (a standard hormone therapy) can help control advanced HR+/HER2- breast cancer that has stopped responding to other treatments. The study includes 256 adults with specific genetic changes (PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN). The goal is to slow cancer growth, not to cure it.
