One procedure, two goals: new heart treatment aims to fix rhythm and prevent stroke

NCT ID NCT07450755

Summary

This study is testing a combined procedure that treats atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) and closes a part of the heart to prevent stroke, all in one hospital visit. It will enroll 150 adults in Germany who have atrial fibrillation and are at risk for stroke. The goal is to see if doing both procedures together is safe, effective, and reduces hospital time compared to having two separate procedures.
