First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether a quick, 30-second heart screening using a mobile ECG device can find hidden atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in people aged 65 and older with cancer. About 480 participants will be randomly assigned to either the screening or usual care. The goal is to see if screening leads to earlier detection and treatment, which could help prevent strokes.
