New combo therapy aims to stop aggressive prostate Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT02772588
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of three hormone-blocking drugs, given before, during, and after a short, high-dose course of targeted radiation, could effectively prevent prostate cancer from coming back in men with very high-risk disease. It involved 64 men whose cancer had features making it likely to spread. The main goal was to see how many patients remained free of a rising PSA level, a sign of cancer recurrence, after the treatment.
