Sharper scans aim to zap prostate cancer more precisely

NCT ID NCT04176497

Summary

This study tested whether using a new, advanced type of scan (PSMA-PET/MRI) could help doctors more accurately target radiation treatment for men with aggressive prostate cancer. The main goal was to see if this approach was safe and practical, and if it could help control the cancer while potentially reducing side effects like urinary or bowel problems. The trial was small and ended early, so its findings are limited.
