Video vs. talk: which helps dementia patients plan their final wishes?
NCT ID NCT04852055
Summary
This study tested a simple way to help people with dementia living in assisted living centers plan for their future medical care. Researchers sent some residents an informational video about advance care planning, while others had the usual care discussions with their doctors. The goal was to see which approach better helped residents formally document their wishes, like whether they want CPR or hospital care.
