Tiny trial to see if a dye helps adrenal surgery

NCT ID NCT07577427

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will look at 12 people having surgery to remove an adrenal gland (adrenalectomy) using robotic or laparoscopic methods. Some surgeries will use a green dye called Indocyanine Green (ICG) to help the surgeon see better, while others will not. The main goal is to track complications after surgery, not to test a new treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Indocyanine Green (ICG) dye

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help surgeons understand whether using ICG dye during adrenal gland surgery improves safety or outcomes.

What could go wrong

This is a very small, early-stage observational study with only 12 participants. It is not designed to prove a treatment works, and results may not apply to other patients or hospitals.
