Prosthetic that grows with your child enters home testing phase

NCT ID NCT05230004

Summary

This study is testing a new type of adjustable prosthetic socket designed specifically for children who have lost a limb. The goal is to create a comfortable, well-fitting prosthetic that can be adjusted as a child grows, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Researchers are working with children aged 3 to 18 to test the device in the lab and during a two-month trial at home, measuring comfort, walking ability, and overall satisfaction.
