Brain scans may reveal best ADHD treatment for aggressive kids

NCT ID NCT06871488

Summary

This study aims to find brain activity patterns that can predict which children with ADHD and significant aggression or irritability will improve with stimulant medication. Researchers will enroll 136 children, ages 8-12, to have their stimulant dose optimized and then test their brain waves while on medication and placebo. The goal is to understand why some children respond well to these medications while others do not, to help guide future treatment decisions.
