Surgery vs. meds: new study targets allergy symptoms in kids

NCT ID NCT07527260

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether removing the adenoids (and sometimes tonsils) can improve allergy symptoms in children aged 3 to 12 with allergic rhinitis. It compares surgery to standard medication, measuring symptom changes and local allergy markers over 6 months. The goal is to see if surgery offers better relief for kids who also have enlarged adenoids and tonsils.
