First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a single dose of the HPV vaccine to teenage boys, on top of the existing program for girls, can lower the number of HPV infections in the whole community. About 10,400 people in 26 communities in northern Tanzania are taking part. Researchers will compare HPV rates in areas where only girls are vaccinated versus areas where boys also get the shot.
