Bladder cancer radiation trial halted early – only 2 patients enrolled
NCT ID NCT05700227
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of radiation therapy that adapts daily to the patient's anatomy, combined with chemotherapy, for muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The goal was to see if this approach could lower severe bowel and bladder side effects compared to standard radiation. However, the trial was terminated early after enrolling only 2 participants, so no conclusions can be drawn.
