First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new type of deep brain stimulation (DBS) that automatically adjusts based on brain signals in people with severe, treatment-resistant OCD. Only 2 participants are enrolled to help researchers identify brain activity patterns linked to OCD distress. The goal is to gather data to build a smarter, more responsive DBS system that could improve symptom control and reduce side effects.
