Summary
This study tested a program called Shed-MEDS that helps safely reduce or stop unnecessary or harmful medications for people with dementia living in assisted living facilities. 18 residents took part, and the program worked with them and their families to decide which medicines could be lowered or stopped. The goal was to improve quality of life by cutting down on extra pills.
