First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jul 31, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study is testing two drugs, efgartigimod and empasiprubart, given by IV, to see if they are safe and work well for people with myasthenia gravis (MG). The goal is to reduce side effects and improve quality of life. About 70 adults with MG are being recruited.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Efgartigimod and empasiprubart (given as intravenous infusions)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could point toward better treatment options for myasthenia gravis with fewer side effects and improved quality of life.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early Phase 2a proof-of-concept study with only 70 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drugs may not work as hoped or could cause unexpected side effects.
