NCT ID NCT01385826
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested the drug adalimumab (Humira) in 34 children with juvenile arthritis who also had active eye inflammation (uveitis) that did not improve with standard steroid drops and methotrexate. After 2 months, more children on adalimumab showed at least a 30% reduction in eye inflammation compared to those on placebo. All participants could then receive adalimumab for up to a year to monitor long-term safety and effectiveness.
