Needle and mat help seniors kick pill habit
NCT ID NCT06197243
Summary
This study tested whether combining acupuncture and yoga with a doctor's plan could help people aged 65 and older safely reduce their use of common anxiety and sleep medications. Over 12 weeks, 23 participants worked with a nurse to lower their medication dose while also receiving weekly acupuncture and private yoga sessions. The main goal was to see if this combined approach was practical and could help people use less medication while managing their symptoms.
