Needles vs. light: which works better for stubborn itch?
NCT ID NCT07451353
Summary
This study compared two non-drug treatments for chronic, widespread itching that lasts over six weeks. Researchers tested whether acupuncture (twice weekly) or a special UV light therapy (three times weekly) was better at reducing itch severity over one month. They measured how 90 adult patients felt before and after treatment to see which approach provided more relief.
