This study planned to see if adding ear acupuncture during surgery to repair a broken lower leg could lower the amount of opioid painkillers patients needed afterward. It was designed for adults aged 18 to 64 having ankle surgery. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
