First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether acupuncture can make opioid painkillers work better for people with fibromyalgia. About 45 adults who already take daily opioids will receive either real or fake (sham) acupuncture, then their pain response to an opioid will be measured. The goal is to see if real acupuncture enhances pain relief more than the sham procedure.
