Needles vs. nerves: can ancient technique ease modern prostate test?
NCT ID NCT06987071
Summary
This study tested whether acupuncture could help men feel less pain and anxiety during a prostate biopsy. 72 men scheduled for the procedure were randomly given either real acupuncture or a fake 'sham' treatment before their biopsy, along with standard numbing medicine. Researchers measured their pain and anxiety levels to see if the acupuncture made a difference.
