Could ancient needles ease modern breathing woes?
NCT ID NCT04947800
Summary
This small, early-stage study explored whether adding acupuncture to standard pulmonary rehabilitation could help people with COPD. Researchers tested different lengths of treatment (4, 8, or 12 weeks) to see if it improved breathing tests, exercise tolerance, and quality of life. The study was terminated early and involved only 13 participants, so the results are very preliminary.
