Acupressure may ease pain after chest surgery, reduce opioid use

Summary

This study tests whether acupressure can reduce pain and help lung function after chest surgery (thoracotomy). About 80 adults having their first chest surgery will receive either acupressure or standard care. The goal is to see if this drug-free method can lower pain and the need for strong painkillers like opioids.
