Can your fitness tracker warn you of future illness?
NCT ID NCT05578495
Summary
This study aims to find out if patterns of physical activity and sedentary time, measured by wearable sensors, can predict when a person with one chronic disease might develop another. Researchers will follow 700 people with conditions like arthritis, diabetes, or COPD for four years, tracking their movement and health. The goal is to create a digital 'signature' that could one day help spot risks for new health problems before they start.
